SOMA enhances its
Technology Center

The unit is primarily used before demos, live shows, and customer acceptance tests to ensure optimal print quality. Within the SOMA Anilox Management, the system is used on a daily basis, providing thorough and safe cleaning of anilox cells while preserving their geometry and ensuring consistent ink transfer performance.

Maintaining precise anilox cell volume is also essential for the newly developed SOMA’s Color Mind system – which offers printers an effcient color correction on the press. Clean and well-defined anilox cells enable accurate ink transfer, helping to achieve minimal Delta E during color corrections on SOMA presses.

Each week, a large number of anilox rollers across the full range of SOMA flexo presses are cleaned using this system. Compared to manual cleaning, the fully automated process delivers more consistent results while significantly reducing cleaning time.

This device allows us to maintain perfectly clean anilox rollers with minimal operator intervention, which is essential for achieving repeatable, high-quality results,” said Tetiana Telegina, Print Shop Manager at SOMA.
