CORAS S.A. Argentina

SOMA announces that it has appointed CORAS S.A. ARGENTINA, represented by industry expert Gabriel Szejnblum, as its new sales agent in Argentina and Uruguay. The company will provide both sales and service support to SOMA customers in Argentina and Uruguay.

Founded in 1976, and headquartered in Buenos Aires, Argentina, CORAS S.A. is a national company that develops projects, technologies and supplies for flexible packaging, labels and plastic films, among other industries. CORAS serves and provides its customers with extended and professional expertise backed by more than 40 years of experience. Overseeing CORAS efforts for SOMA is Gabriel Szejnblum, a flexo expert with more than 35 years’ experience at CORAS S.A. Szejnblum received an MBA from Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires, and an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Universidad Technólogic Nacional.

The market for flexible packaging in Argentina - which represents more than 37% of packaging revenues - is quite encouraging. It is expected to grow at a compound rate of 4.8% to 2028 according to research from researchandmarkets.com. One significant trend in Argentina, which is delivered by the SOMA Optima² flexo press, is increased use of automation in processes to improve efficiency and reduce labor costs.
