This collaboration is a major step forward in expanding SOMA’s footprint in East Asia, offering enhanced local support and direct access to cutting-edge solutions.

INTER-FLEX, headquartered in Bielefeld, Germany, is a well-established company with extensive expertise in packaging and flexographic technology. Led by Andre Diestelkamp, INTER-FLEX brings decades of technical knowledge and market experience to its role as SOMA’s exclusive representative in Japan. The company will provide local Japanese customers with commercial and technical support, helping them take full advantage of SOMA’s highly automated and efficient printing systems.

“We have been working with this company for several years, and this project is a new expansion specifically for the Japanese market. Japanese converters and packaging printers will now benefit from direct access to SOMA’s full portfolio, including CI flexo presses, slitter rewinders, laminators, and plate mounters — all known for their precision, ease of use, and sustainability-driven design. With INTER-FLEX’s support, SOMA aims to build stronger customer relationships and streamline its support network in the region.

Looking ahead, SOMA and INTER-FLEX will be present at Japan Pack 2025 (Hall 6 – 301), one of the country’s premier packaging trade shows. Visitors will be able to meet the INTER-FLEX team at their booth and explore SOMA’s solutions in detail.
